Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Technology and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.46%, while the MDAX index declined 0.76%, and the TecDAX index lost 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG), which rose 5.19% or 2.39 points to trade at 48.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (ETR:CONG) added 2.40% or 1.68 points to end at 71.78 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) was up 1.19% or 0.29 points to 24.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG), which fell 4.14% or 5.25 points to trade at 121.60 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 3.35% or 1.08 points to end at 31.13 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was down 2.46% or 0.74 points to 29.40.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which rose 5.85% to 38.55, AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:AG1G) which was up 3.29% to settle at 22.62 and DWS Group GmbH & Co KgaA (ETR:DWSG) which gained 2.87% to close at 49.50.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 16.53% to 11.16 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which lost 7.69% to settle at 123.70 and Rational AG (ETR:RAAG) which was down 5.34% to 726.50 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which rose 5.81% to 23.32, Formycon AG (ETR:FYB) which was up 1.94% to settle at 23.70 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which gained 1.60% to close at 63.50.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 16.53% to 11.16 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which lost 3.55% to settle at 59.70 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 2.59% to 12.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 366 to 234 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.19% or 2.39 to 48.43. Shares in Continental AG O.N. (ETR:CONG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.40% or 1.68 to 71.78.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.17% to 21.85.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.52% or 83.81 to $3,406.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 4.08% or 2.33 to hit $59.46 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 3.70% or 2.23 to trade at $62.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 99.32.
