Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Media and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 1.38%, while the MDAX index gained 1.68%, and the TecDAX index added 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (DE:ENR1n), which rose 4.34% or 0.89 points to trade at 21.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (DE:AIRG) added 3.63% or 3.62 points to end at 103.36 and Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) was up 3.51% or 6.92 points to 204.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which fell 1.85% or 0.76 points to trade at 40.32 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:RWEG) declined 1.75% or 0.66 points to end at 37.07 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) was down 1.53% or 0.15 points to 9.59.
The top performers on the MDAX were Lanxess AG (DE:LXSG) which rose 4.54% to 41.68, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:BOSSn) which was up 4.30% to settle at 45.58 and Gerresheimer AG (DE:GXIG) which gained 4.16% to close at 60.05.
The worst performers were Knorr-Bremse AG (DE:KBX) which was down 3.51% to 67.70 in late trade, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) which lost 1.77% to settle at 6.67 and K&S AG (DE:SDFGn) which was down 1.27% to 24.09 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:S92G) which rose 5.09% to 40.44, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:EUZG) which was up 4.08% to settle at 57.35 and Varta AG (DE:VAR1) which gained 3.63% to close at 89.10.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which was down 1.03% to 17.22 in late trade, Vantage Towers AG (DE:VTWRn) which lost 0.27% to settle at 29.92 and Siltronic AG (DE:WAFGn) which was down 0.04% to 90.40 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 507 to 196 and 57 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.91% to 40.11.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.56% or 11.30 to $1,989.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.55% or 2.70 to hit $108.72 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.12% or 2.32 to trade at $111.65 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.64% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 99.07.
