Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 1.01% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index added 1.23%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:HEIG), which rose 4.80% or 8.50 points to trade at 185.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 4.49% or 1.35 points to end at 31.45 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) was up 4.13% or 67.50 points to 1,701.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:MBGn), which fell 5.78% or 3.12 points to trade at 50.87 at the close. Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) declined 2.78% or 8.00 points to end at 280.00 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) was down 1.68% or 0.51 points to 29.83.
The top performers on the MDAX were AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:AG1G) which rose 11.11% to 21.30, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 8.54% to settle at 75.00 and Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which gained 5.22% to close at 24.59.
The worst performers were Stroeer SE (ETR:SAXG) which was down 6.25% to 48.75 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which lost 2.82% to settle at 14.48 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was down 2.57% to 75.75 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 8.54% to 75.00, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 6.05% to settle at 64.85 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which gained 4.72% to close at 66.50.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 2.30% to 6.88 in late trade, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which lost 1.91% to settle at 33.82 and 11 AG (ETR:1U1) which was down 1.89% to 15.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 409 to 210 and 24 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.87% to 23.25.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.89% or 64.01 to $3,327.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.12% or 1.81 to hit $59.88 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.78% or 1.70 to trade at $62.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.49% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.85% at 100.28.
