Nvidia shares jump after resuming H20 sales in China, announcing new processor
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.75%, while the MDAX index gained 0.78%, and the TecDAX index added 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 4.57% or 3.88 points to trade at 88.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) added 4.09% or 8.40 points to end at 214.00 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) was up 2.49% or 0.95 points to 39.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG), which fell 4.24% or 4.90 points to trade at 110.55 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) declined 2.97% or 3.02 points to end at 98.68 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) was down 1.98% or 35.50 points to 1,760.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 4.37% to 13.84, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which was up 4.25% to settle at 2.94 and Tui AG NA (ETR:TUI1n) which gained 4.17% to close at 6.60.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 3.76% to 7.12 in late trade, DWS Group GmbH & Co KgaA (ETR:DWSG) which lost 2.69% to settle at 47.68 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 2.62% to 8.71 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 4.37% to 13.84, Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which was up 4.22% to settle at 24.22 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which gained 4.09% to close at 214.00.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 3.76% to 7.12 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which lost 1.95% to settle at 75.50 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 1.11% to 93.15 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 388 to 241 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.24% or 4.90 to 110.55.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 9.83% to 23.35.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.90% or 31.08 to $3,421.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.44% or 1.74 to hit $69.55 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.47% or 1.83 to trade at $72.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 97.46.
