Investing.com’s stocks of the week
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Transportation & Logistics and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.71% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index added 0.80%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which rose 4.21% or 1.45 points to trade at 35.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) added 2.32% or 3.86 points to end at 170.24 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:DHLn) was up 1.97% or 0.78 points to 40.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn), which fell 1.66% or 0.41 points to trade at 24.04 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 1.03% or 0.32 points to end at 30.76 and Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) was down 1.02% or 2.20 points to 214.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which rose 5.68% to 57.70, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 4.61% to settle at 23.85 and Stroeer SE (ETR:SAXG) which gained 4.55% to close at 55.10.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was down 13.88% to 99.90 in late trade, flatexDEGIRO AG (ETR:FTKn) which lost 5.23% to settle at 23.54 and RENK Group AG (ETR:R3NK) which was down 4.76% to 81.00 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which rose 5.68% to 57.70, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was up 5.37% to settle at 36.92 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which gained 5.30% to close at 71.50.
The worst performers were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which was down 1.09% to 38.26 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which lost 0.83% to settle at 204.20 and Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which was down 0.68% to 23.26 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 355 to 259 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) fell to 52-week lows; down 13.88% or 16.10 to 99.90.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.28% to 20.05.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.64% or 21.50 to $3,398.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.06% or 0.67 to hit $62.74 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.34% or 0.88 to trade at $64.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 98.69.
