Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Household Goods and General Retailers sectors led shares higher while losses in the Financials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.91%, while the SBF 120 index fell 2.75%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.69% or 3.44 points to trade at 96.74 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) added 2.59% or 5.20 points to end at 206.20 and AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) was up 1.87% or 0.55 points to 29.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW), which fell 2.68% or 1.94 points to trade at 70.56 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) declined 1.60% or 0.65 points to end at 39.89 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 0.95% or 0.34 points to 35.37.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 12.68% to 0.99, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was up 5.26% to settle at 2.16 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which gained 3.69% to close at 96.74.
The worst performers were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was down 3.78% to 172.00 in late trade, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) which lost 2.68% to settle at 70.56 and Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which was down 2.25% to 9.47 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 332 to 209 and 81 ended unchanged.
Shares in Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.60% or 0.65 to 39.89.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.84% or 19.65 to $2,329.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.14% or 0.89 to hit $78.94 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.88 to trade at $83.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.09.
