Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.55%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were AXA SA (EPA:AXAF), which rose 2.36% or 0.95 points to trade at 41.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) added 2.14% or 3.32 points to end at 158.28 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) was up 1.98% or 1.12 points to 57.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which fell 2.53% or 4.58 points to trade at 176.14 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 1.96% or 1.92 points to end at 96.00 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 1.92% or 1.72 points to 87.72.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which rose 12.50% to 4.50, SES (EPA:SESFd) which was up 11.07% to settle at 5.05 and Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which gained 2.37% to close at 8.30.
The worst performers were Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which was down 6.64% to 50.20 in late trade, Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which lost 4.79% to settle at 29.84 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which was down 4.43% to 15.76 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 254 to 237 and 76 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.22% or 71.90 to $3,315.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.16% or 1.26 to hit $57.03 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.91% or 1.17 to trade at $60.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 99.73.
