Investing.com’s stocks of the week
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.17%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which rose 3.16% or 2.78 points to trade at 90.78 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) added 2.85% or 0.72 points to end at 25.77 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was up 2.72% or 2.48 points to 93.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY), which fell 1.06% or 0.94 points to trade at 87.47 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) declined 1.03% or 2.35 points to end at 225.30 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was down 0.92% or 2.40 points to 259.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) which rose 5.02% to 49.36, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was up 4.82% to settle at 2.61 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) which gained 3.16% to close at 90.78.
The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 3.06% to 9.64 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 2.24% to settle at 3.31 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which was down 2.22% to 308.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 286 to 200 and 93 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.13% or 4.32 to $3,350.92 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.31% or 0.20 to hit $64.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.19 to trade at $66.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 98.93.
