Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.01%, while the SBF 120 index unchanged 0%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Faurecia (PA:EPED), which rose 7.07% or 3.29 points to trade at 49.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (PA:RENA) added 3.10% or 1.19 points to end at 39.63 and Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) was up 2.60% or 1.32 points to 52.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 2.00% or 0.46 points to trade at 22.34 at the close. Worldline SA (PA:WLN) declined 1.76% or 1.30 points to end at 72.68 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (PA:VIE) was down 1.74% or 0.40 points to 22.61.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Faurecia (PA:EPED) which rose 7.07% to 49.85, Technip Energies BV (PA:TE) which was up 4.81% to settle at 14.70 and Nexans SA (PA:NEXS) which gained 4.81% to close at 70.85.
The worst performers were Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) which was down 8.16% to 39.40 in late trade, Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) which lost 6.45% to settle at 6.74 and Albioma SA (PA:ABIO) which was down 4.07% to 41.25 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 352 to 245 and 74 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.77% or 13.30 to $1744.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.29% or 0.19 to hit $64.61 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.36 to trade at $68.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.65% to 1.1977, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 91.418.
