Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.64% to hit a new 3-months high, while the SBF 120 index added 2.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which rose 6.34% or 15.90 points to trade at 266.85 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) added 6.04% or 1.57 points to end at 27.48 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was up 4.06% or 0.57 points to 14.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN), which fell 1.72% or 4.20 points to trade at 240.35 at the close. Safran SA (EPA:SAF) declined 1.25% or 2.70 points to end at 213.40 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) was down 1.09% or 0.92 points to 83.18.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Trigano SA (EPA:TRIA) which rose 11.44% to 119.80, Forvia (EPA:FRVIA) which was up 11.12% to settle at 9.80 and Opmobility SE (EPA:OPM) which gained 7.96% to close at 9.36.
The worst performers were Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:GTT) which was down 2.85% to 125.90 in late trade, Elis Services SA (EPA:ELIS) which lost 1.73% to settle at 19.35 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) which was down 1.72% to 240.35 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 270 to 217 and 101 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.94% or 25.20 to $2,669.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.62% or 0.42 to hit $68.09 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.31 to trade at $71.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.20.
