Trump tariff impact may be seen in Q2 earnings, Capital Economics says
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.48%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 3.55% or 5.74 points to trade at 167.50 at the close. Meanwhile, AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) added 2.45% or 1.02 points to end at 42.60 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was up 2.36% or 4.12 points to 179.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 4.05% or 3.18 points to trade at 75.36 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) declined 2.41% or 3.50 points to end at 141.65 and Bureau Veritas SA (EPA:BVI) was down 0.63% or 0.18 points to 28.50.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which rose 30.81% to 3.72, SES (EPA:SESFd) which was up 6.63% to settle at 6.20 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) which gained 3.55% to close at 167.50.
The worst performers were Imerys SA (EPA:IMTP) which was down 4.41% to 26.86 in late trade, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which lost 4.05% to settle at 75.36 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was down 2.80% to 4.35 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 251 to 221 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.05% or 3.18 to 75.36. Shares in SES (EPA:SESFd) rose to 52-week highs; rising 6.63% or 0.39 to 6.20. Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.05% or 3.18 to 75.36. Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) fell to all time lows; falling 2.80% or 0.13 to 4.35.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.66% or 22.63 to $3,385.47 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $73.62 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.65% or 2.09 to trade at $76.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 98.32.
