Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.40%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which rose 4.55% or 2.28 points to trade at 52.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 1.51% or 0.33 points to end at 22.20 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was up 1.42% or 4.20 points to 300.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 3.21% or 1.58 points to trade at 47.48 at the close. EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) declined 2.82% or 4.05 points to end at 139.80 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was down 2.75% or 4.45 points to 157.30.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which rose 5.17% to 0.84, Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which was up 4.79% to settle at 12.35 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) which gained 4.55% to close at 52.43.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 10.62% to 11.32 in late trade, Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) which lost 7.54% to settle at 14.60 and ICADE (EPA:ICAD) which was down 5.76% to 42.72 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 317 to 230 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.21% or 1.58 to 47.48. Shares in Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.75% or 4.45 to 157.30. Shares in Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.62% or 1.35 to 11.32. Shares in Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) fell to all time lows; losing 7.54% or 1.19 to 14.60. Shares in ICADE (EPA:ICAD) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.76% or 2.61 to 42.72.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.34% or 6.15 to $1,807.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.74% or 1.89 to hit $110.32 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.62% or 1.81 to trade at $113.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.96.
