Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 0.24% or 0.06 points to trade at 24.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell 0.11% or 0.04 points to end at 37.49 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.26% or 0.09 points to 34.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.65% or 0.1940 points to trade at 3.9740 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 4.50% or 1.04 points to end at 22.05 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 4.25% or 0.28 points to 6.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 131 to 35 and 23 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 4.09% or 2.05 to $48.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 4.37% or 2.14 to hit $46.85 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.36% or 18.15 to trade at $1357.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1092, while EUR/GBP rose 1.29% to 0.8499.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.09.
