Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.13% or 0.47 points to trade at 41.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.91% or 0.034 points to end at 3.752 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.56% or 0.18 points to 32.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which fell 12.28% or 2.94 points to trade at 21.00 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.66% or 0.400 points to end at 10.520 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 3.12% or 0.79 points to 24.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.63% or 0.90 to $56.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.43% or 0.75 to hit $53.38 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.34% or 16.05 to trade at $1212.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.80% to 1.0781, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8576.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.74% at 99.68.
