Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.51% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 2.22% or 0.71 points to trade at 32.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.57% or 0.26 points to end at 46.17 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.40% or 0.11 points to 27.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which fell 7.40% or 1.88 points to trade at 23.52 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 6.46% or 0.4700 points to end at 6.8100 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 4.00% or 0.250 points to 5.995.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 33 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 3.07% or 1.49 to $50.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.30% or 1.53 to hit $47.87 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.05 to trade at $1250.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.84.
