Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.34%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.07% or 1.17 points to trade at 39.24 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) added 1.28% or 0.27 points to end at 21.36 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.25% or 0.16 points to 12.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 7.61% or 0.356 points to trade at 4.324 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 4.52% or 1.18 points to end at 24.95 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 2.90% or 1.26 points to 42.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 54 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.07% or 1.17 to 39.24. Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; losing 7.61% or 0.356 to 4.324. Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.28% or 0.27 to 21.36.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.70% or 0.85 to $50.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.63% or 0.80 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1268.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.0892, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8951.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 98.95.
