Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.34% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 0.97% or 0.35 points to trade at 36.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.79% or 0.18 points to end at 22.98 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.57% or 0.018 points to 3.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.38% or 0.1580 points to trade at 3.4500 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) declined 2.47% or 1.02 points to end at 40.31 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 2.46% or 0.185 points to 7.325.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 59 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.41% or 0.96 to $38.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.52% or 0.95 to hit $36.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.31% or 16.00 to trade at $1239.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1385, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8086.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 94.44.
