Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.05% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 8.44% or 2.58 points to trade at 33.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.77% or 0.24 points to end at 13.77 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.92% or 0.36 points to 39.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 3.24% or 0.81 points to trade at 24.18 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.75% or 1.01 points to end at 35.77 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 2.48% or 0.130 points to 5.105.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 136 to 49 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; rising 1.77% or 0.24 to 13.77.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.72% or 0.35 to $48.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.51% or 0.24 to hit $46.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.09% or 13.90 to trade at $1287.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.1054, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.9034.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.55% at 97.78.
