Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.92% or 0.30 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 0.47% or 0.07 points to end at 14.81 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.39% or 0.040 points to 10.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 6.88% or 0.6100 points to trade at 8.2500 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 2.48% or 0.112 points to end at 4.402 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 1.82% or 0.14 points to 7.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 35 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.81% or 1.00 to $56.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.55% or 0.81 to hit $53.06 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.35 to trade at $1200.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.0655, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.62% at 101.07.
