Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 0.04% or 0.01 points to trade at 28.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) fell 0.09% or 0.010 points to end at 11.380 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.09% or 0.005 points to 5.690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.49% or 0.3150 points to trade at 6.6950 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.62% or 0.165 points to end at 6.135 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 2.12% or 0.145 points to 6.680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.21% or 0.10 to $46.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.54% or 0.24 to hit $44.49 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.58% or 20.11 to trade at $1255.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1145, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.8739.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 97.49.
