Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.55% or 0.3200 points to trade at 9.3300 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 2.33% or 1.01 points to end at 44.30 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.74% or 0.56 points to 32.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 8.41% or 0.62 points to trade at 6.81 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 6.78% or 0.730 points to end at 10.040 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 5.06% or 1.47 points to 27.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 69 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.55% or 0.3200 to 9.3300.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.71% or 0.40 to $56.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.64% or 0.34 to hit $53.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1220.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.0783, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8616.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 99.64.
