Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.41% or 0.80 points to trade at 57.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.22% or 0.0850 points to end at 7.0400 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.12% or 0.65 points to 58.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 2.27% or 0.52 points to trade at 22.41 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 2.05% or 0.73 points to end at 34.80 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 1.95% or 0.50 points to 25.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 63 to 61 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.12% or 0.65 to 58.80.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.72% or 0.77 to $45.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.48% or 0.63 to hit $43.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.74 to trade at $1252.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 97.25.
