Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.25% or 0.09 points to trade at 7.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 1.18% or 0.51 points to end at 43.70 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.78% or 0.030 points to 3.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.68% or 0.2950 points to trade at 7.7150 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.47% or 0.210 points to end at 5.845 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 1.99% or 0.65 points to 32.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 61 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.77% or 0.38 to $48.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.61% or 0.28 to hit $45.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.46 to trade at $1228.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.0930, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8449.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 98.96.
