Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.69% or 0.95 points to trade at 36.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.98% or 0.055 points to end at 5.690 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.89% or 0.42 points to 47.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 2.44% or 1.14 points to trade at 45.55 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.79% or 0.26 points to end at 14.24 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.71% or 0.57 points to 32.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 107 to 33 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.80% or 0.41 to $50.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.64% or 0.31 to hit $47.93 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1250.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0812, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8662.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.39.
