Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.02% or 0.26 points to trade at 25.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 0.59% or 0.17 points to end at 28.87 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.29% or 0.08 points to 27.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.45% or 0.1850 points to trade at 5.1800 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) declined 1.41% or 0.37 points to end at 25.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 1.37% or 0.56 points to 40.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 75 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.59% or 0.17 to 28.87. Shares in Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.29% or 0.08 to 27.26.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.62% or 0.81 to $49.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.74% or 0.83 to hit $46.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1326.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1177, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8545.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.65.
