Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 0.90% or 0.060 points to trade at 6.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.88% or 0.27 points to end at 30.78 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.62% or 0.16 points to 26.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.30% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.02 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.48% or 0.12 points to end at 7.64 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 1.30% or 0.45 points to 34.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 66 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.39% or 0.22 to $56.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.68% or 0.37 to hit $53.69 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.42% or 16.15 to trade at $1157.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.64% to 1.0482, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.8572.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 102.73.
