Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.26% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 3.54% or 0.78 points to trade at 22.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.23% or 0.70 points to end at 57.60 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 0.59% or 0.04 points to 7.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.69% or 0.3450 points to trade at 7.0100 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.74% or 0.245 points to end at 6.300 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 1.49% or 0.47 points to 31.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 70 to 65 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.72% or 1.81 to $46.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.75% or 1.74 to hit $44.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.43 to trade at $1278.03 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 96.45.
