Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.64% or 0.34 points to trade at 21.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 0.82% or 0.14 points to end at 17.29 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.67% or 0.026 points to 3.920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 5.32% or 0.4050 points to trade at 7.2050 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.15% or 0.44 points to end at 37.96 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 1.01% or 0.32 points to 31.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 70 to 67 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.82% or 0.14 to 17.29.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.19% or 0.60 to $50.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.25% or 0.59 to hit $47.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.24 to trade at $1224.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0869, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.8444.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 99.51.
