Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.59% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.50% or 0.41 points to end at 27.80 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.23% or 0.50 points to 41.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 2.78% or 0.93 points to trade at 32.56 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.16% or 0.0650 points to end at 5.5250 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.16% or 0.060 points to 5.130.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 73 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.50% or 0.41 to 27.80.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 3.42% or 1.64 to $49.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.65% or 1.66 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.62% or 8.35 to trade at $1340.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1246, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8463.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 95.11.
