Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 2.90% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.27% or 0.41 points to trade at 18.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) fell 0.27% or 0.11 points to end at 39.95 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.49% or 0.23 points to 46.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 6.95% or 0.98 points to trade at 13.19 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 5.41% or 1.61 points to end at 28.14 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 5.19% or 0.255 points to 4.660.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 137 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.95% or 0.98 to 13.19. Shares in Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.27% or 0.11 to 39.95. Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.19% or 0.255 to 4.660.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 4.76% or 3.80 to $76.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.67% or 3.23 to hit $65.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.15% or 14.00 to trade at $1235.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1482, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8837.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.60.
