Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.86% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 3.75% or 0.6100 points to trade at 16.8700 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 2.68% or 0.96 points to end at 36.82 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.56% or 0.052 points to 3.387 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 4.36% or 1.48 points to trade at 32.48 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 3.05% or 0.92 points to end at 29.25 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 2.39% or 0.61 points to 24.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 63 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.36% or 1.48 to 32.48.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.16 to $62.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $53.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1243.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1352, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.925.
