Stock market today: S&P 500 ends flat on fresh trade war worries
Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.15% or 0.10 points to trade at 9.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.89% or 0.04 points to end at 4.76 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.19% or 0.04 points to 20.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.15% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.38 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 2.27% or 1.60 points to end at 68.85 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 2.15% or 0.39 points to 17.79.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 51 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.19% or 0.04 to 20.98.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.53% or 0.99 to $63.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.46% or 0.90 to hit $60.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 18.46 to trade at $3,295.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 99.80.
