Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.44% or 0.78 points to trade at 55.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.24% or 0.41 points to end at 33.50 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.16% or 0.120 points to 10.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.44% or 0.2000 points to trade at 7.9800 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.43% or 0.182 points to end at 7.302 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 2.15% or 0.71 points to 32.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 48 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 1.44% or 0.78 to 55.10.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.07% or 0.05 to $68.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $63.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.70 to trade at $1317.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1958, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 92.02.
