Stock market today: S&P 500 in weekly loss as trade war fears intensifyy
Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 1.53% or 0.28 points to trade at 18.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.23% or 0.12 points to end at 9.52 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.80% or 0.04 points to 4.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 2.76% or 1.32 points to trade at 46.58 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 1.84% or 0.16 points to end at 8.54 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 1.55% or 0.05 points to 3.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 83 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.82% or 1.19 to $66.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.05% or 1.30 to hit $64.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 20.79 to trade at $3,354.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.42% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 99.15.
