ASML no longer confirms 2026 growth, shares fall over 7% despite Q2 beat
Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which rose 3.89% or 0.21 points to trade at 5.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 3.07% or 0.59 points to end at 19.64 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.98% or 0.31 points to 15.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.36% or 0.21 points to trade at 8.62 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 1.73% or 0.48 points to end at 27.24 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 1.53% or 0.37 points to 23.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 75 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.98% or 0.31 to 15.96.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.23% or 1.49 to $68.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.60% or 1.69 to hit $66.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 10.45 to trade at $3,353.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 98.57.
