Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.14% or 0.37 points to trade at 32.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.75% or 0.31 points to end at 41.41 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.49% or 0.050 points to 10.290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.72% or 0.62 points to trade at 35.39 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.51% or 0.1250 points to end at 8.1500 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 1.42% or 0.37 points to 25.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 112 to 27 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.11% or 0.06 to $55.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.74% or 0.39 to hit $52.76 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.37% or 16.35 to trade at $1212.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.96% to 1.0703, while EUR/GBP fell 1.78% to 0.8644.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.11% at 100.40.
