Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 2.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.08% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 4.54% or 0.230 points to end at 5.295 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 4.33% or 0.87 points to 20.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which fell 3.28% or 0.49 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.44% or 0.10 points to end at 23.08 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.68% or 0.20 points to 29.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 125 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 5.93% or 2.34 to $41.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 6.23% or 2.32 to hit $39.58 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1242.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8081.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 94.18.
