Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.89%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 4.39% or 0.500 points to trade at 11.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 4.27% or 1.15 points to end at 28.08 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 4.09% or 1.55 points to 39.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to trade at 7.2350 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 0.02% or 0.01 points to end at 43.74 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.05% or 0.02 points to 37.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 32 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.90% or 0.43 to $47.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.38% or 0.62 to hit $45.66 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.62 to trade at $1220.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.1411, while EUR/GBP fell 0.82% to 0.8853.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.54.
