Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.09% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.66% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.795 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 2.12% or 0.30 points to end at 14.48 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 2.11% or 0.73 points to 35.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 0.55% or 0.16 points to trade at 28.90 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.23% or 0.10 points to end at 44.01 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.17% or 0.020 points to 11.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 34 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.11% or 0.73 to 35.40.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.81% or 0.41 to $51.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.22% or 0.59 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.48 to trade at $1263.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1212, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8701.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.15.
