Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 7.14% or 1.07 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.40% or 0.16 points to end at 6.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.89% or 0.59 points to 31.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 0.87% or 0.0800 points to trade at 9.1300 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 0.40% or 0.09 points to end at 22.41 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 42.69.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 48 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; up 7.14% or 1.07 to 16.05.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.82% or 0.46 to $55.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.66% or 0.35 to hit $53.05 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1275.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.0604, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8488.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 100.62.
