Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 7.13% or 0.6000 points to trade at 9.0100 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 5.75% or 0.242 points to end at 4.450 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 3.32% or 1.17 points to 36.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which fell 7.24% or 3.38 points to trade at 43.29 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 4.42% or 2.00 points to end at 43.24 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 3.55% or 0.52 points to 14.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 65 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 7.13% or 0.6000 to 9.0100.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.11% or 0.06 to $56.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $53.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 9.55 to trade at $1217.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.0792, while EUR/GBP rose 1.14% to 0.8604.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 99.58.
