Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.69% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which rose 4.07% or 0.57 points to trade at 14.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.56% or 0.2000 points to end at 8.0050 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.29% or 0.95 points to 42.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.35% or 0.50 points to trade at 36.49 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 0.92% or 0.060 points to end at 6.435 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.85% or 0.032 points to 3.712.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 61 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.56% or 0.2000 to 8.0050.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 3.18% or 1.73 to $56.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.36% or 1.73 to hit $53.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.35 to trade at $1165.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.0638, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8382.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.59% at 101.00.
