Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.68% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.85% or 0.63 points to trade at 34.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.81% or 0.68 points to end at 38.29 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 1.42% or 0.090 points to 6.415 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 1.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 9.9500 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 0.73% or 0.11 points to end at 14.99 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 0.45% or 0.03 points to 6.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 43 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.41% or 0.21 to $51.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.49% or 0.24 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.15% or 25.80 to trade at $1226.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.0731, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 100.24.
