Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which rose 3.82% or 1.43 points to trade at 38.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.95% or 0.105 points to end at 5.490 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.92% or 1.05 points to 55.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 10.19% or 0.680 points to trade at 5.990 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.67% or 0.3000 points to end at 7.8650 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 1.16% or 0.075 points to 6.380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) rose to all time highs; rising 3.82% or 1.43 to 38.84. Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.95% or 0.105 to 5.490. Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.92% or 1.05 to 55.80.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.78% or 1.92 to $48.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 4.04% or 1.93 to hit $45.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.28% or 16.04 to trade at $1232.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.79% to 1.0972, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8494.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 98.67.
