Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.85% or 0.115 points to trade at 6.335 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 1.40% or 0.31 points to end at 22.51 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.26% or 0.32 points to 25.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 0.74% or 0.0550 points to trade at 7.3300 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.72% or 0.40 points to end at 55.30 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.60% or 0.024 points to 3.992.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 58 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 3.04% or 1.51 to $48.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 3.59% or 1.69 to hit $45.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.12 to trade at $1223.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1336, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.10.
