Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.26% or 0.90 points to trade at 28.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.26% or 0.175 points to end at 5.550 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.98% or 1.42 points to 49.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 5.49% or 1.81 points to trade at 31.15 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.13% or 0.14 points to end at 6.67 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 1.57% or 0.155 points to 9.740.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 65 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.26% or 0.175 to 5.550. Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.98% or 1.42 to 49.15.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.58% or 0.88 to $54.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.98% or 1.05 to hit $51.96 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.75 to trade at $1236.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.0702, while EUR/GBP fell 0.67% to 0.8562.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 100.20.
