Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.29% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.93% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.28% or 0.43 points to end at 34.14 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.28% or 0.065 points to 5.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 0.96% or 0.0950 points to trade at 9.8200 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.83% or 0.090 points to end at 10.690 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 0.45% or 0.050 points to 11.130.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 68 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $51.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.47% or 0.23 to hit $49.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1233.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.0745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8699.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 100.13.
