Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.29% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.38% or 0.230 points to trade at 4.506 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 3.46% or 0.305 points to end at 9.120 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 1.12% or 0.21 points to 19.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 1.27% or 0.17 points to trade at 13.22 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.88% or 0.29 points to end at 32.54 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.73% or 0.33 points to 44.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 45 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.74% or 0.37 to $50.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.50% or 0.24 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 4.10 to trade at $1313.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1215, while EUR/GBP rose 0.83% to 0.8732.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 95.63.
