Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 1.40% or 0.20 points to trade at 14.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.11% or 0.54 points to end at 49.27 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.89% or 0.22 points to 25.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 3.41% or 0.205 points to trade at 5.800 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 0.86% or 0.043 points to end at 4.972 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 0.70% or 0.04 points to 6.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 80 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.63% or 0.83 to $51.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.80% or 0.86 to hit $48.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1254.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.0844, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.8680.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 99.19.
