Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.97% or 0.175 points to trade at 6.075 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.46% or 0.54 points to end at 37.50 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.32% or 0.29 points to 22.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which fell 4.21% or 1.87 points to trade at 42.53 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 1.79% or 0.070 points to end at 3.840 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 1.68% or 0.180 points to 10.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 63 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.94% or 1.03 to $54.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.65% or 0.83 to hit $51.07 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1258.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0664, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.48.
